Puppy Process

Thank you for your interest in our dogs!

Once the puppies are born and thriving, we have a clearer picture of how many puppies we have available, their sexes and colours. This is when we ask for a deposit to secure a puppy. At this stage you may know what sex and/or colour of puppy you are getting but not necessarily know the exact individual you will take home. This is because personalities only develop when the pups are a bit older, but also, I wait till they are 8 weeks to make my own selection of the show dog that I may keep for my program.

If you would like to be added to our waitlist please fill out the Enquiry Form. If it looks like a Merrydale puppy will be a good fit for your home we can then chat on the phone so I can get to know you a bit better, you can ask any further questions you may have, and I can explain more about the timelines for breeding, birth etc. We can discuss preferences for sex or colour of the puppy.

We aim to match each puppy with the best possible home. This is why our wait list is not strictly first come, first served. This process ensures that you receive a companion that is well suited to your family and sets up our puppies for long term success.
